Dear Friends, Members and Advisors:
We are thrilled to provide you with an update on the Institute. Our team is steadily growing, master planning is complete and things are moving forward very smoothly!
The Casa Laxmi Team Grows!
We are excited to announce that Jérôme de Meyer has joined us as an executive advisor. Jérôme has decades of experience in education, as his family owned and operated Collège Alpin International Beau Soleil for three generations. Beau Soleil is one of the oldest private boarding schools in Switzerland, located in the heart of the Alps. Jérôme also serves as the Swiss Chairman for the Nord Anglia Education group. He has been, and will continue to be, an invaluable asset to Casa Laxmi given the wealth of knowledge he brings to the table.
The Community Alliance Advisory Board
We have been focusing on creating a Community Alliance Advisory Board comprised of leaders in the Panama City community to assist in generating ideas on how the Institute can benefit the local population. We are thrilled to announce three new members that will be serving on this Board:
William (Bill) V. Husfelt III – Superintendent of Schools for Bay County
April Wilkes – Executive Director of the St. Joe Community Foundation
Dr. John Holdnak – President of Gulf Coast State College
Master Planning
The master planning of the campus is complete! With several iterations with our architectural team and wonderful insight and advice from our advisors, we now have a finished campus plan. Please visit our website (https://www.casalaxmi.com/campus/) to see the campus map, the renderings and even a 360 degree view of the campus from several vantage points. Now with this phase complete, we will be approaching the county for the permits and approvals to ultimately obtain a development order – this will allow us to break ground.
